Aussie dollar’s strong moves after European summit

The Aussie dollar saw an almost 300-point move overnight after some positive outcome from the European summit in Brussels yesterday.

“It was certainly significant trading session for the Aussie dollar,” said Kara Ordway, FX Strategist at City Index.

“There’s no denying that the market was very happy with the outcome of the European summit and this drove traders to high beta currencies,” Miss Ordway said.

Further consolidation could be expected after such a significant rise over such a small trading period. However, traders still seem to be buoyant, and everyone’s favourite risk currency might be here, at these levels for the long haul.

在如此短时间急升后，可预计澳币后市有调整。但是交易员普遍认为澳币长线来看目前水平仍相当有吸引力。
