Migration Law Assistant

We are a small but busy migration agency located in the Parramatta CBD, 5 minutes’ walk from the Parramatta station. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic legal administrative assistant to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis. Main duties and responsibilities:

Opening and closing files
Reception duties such as ensuring the office is tidy and presentable, stationary inventory, answering calls and greeting clients.
Ad hoc duties including photocopying, scanning documents and ensuring the physical and virtual files are maintained and properly labelled. Filling out forms
Drafting visas
Drafting basic submissions in support of a visa application
Drafting skills assessments and state sponsorship applications
Liaising with clients over the phone, in person and via email.
Going to the post office and bank when necessary

Skills and Experience:

Excellent communication skills
Fluent English in both writing and speaking
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to manage and complete a variety of tasks with daily deadlines
Australian Permanent Residence/Citizenship
Genuine interest and desire for a career in migration law is preferable, however not essential

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
