Credit Assessor Job Description
Position:Credit Assessor
Department:Credit Management Unit
Reporting to:Compliance / CEO
Salary Range: depends on experience
Job Duties:Be responsible for whole assessment of loan process and following up with the Funders and BDM, auditing loans according to company’s policy and procedure
Duty 1: Be responsible of Credit Assessment:
• Reviewing the documents and information provided by BDM
• Auditing documents fraud and inconsistency in an efficient manner
• Reducing the incidence of fraud through timely detection and ongoing preventative measures
• Keeping notes via in-house CRM system in a timely manner
• Undertaking full assessment based on report provided by BDM
• Auditing the integrity and authenticity of loan application documents
• Verifying applicant’s employment and accountant
• Managing daily communication with BDMs, updating loan application process and requiring updated documents
• Reporting to Credit Manager for final assessment before submission
• Keeping informed of product and policy from each lender
Duty 2: Be responsible of communication:
• Solicits quality loans that meet the criteria of current product offering.
• Liaising with BDM to confirm clients’ information including annual salary, existing liability, the number of credit cards they have, etc.
• Supporting BDMs with loan scenarios from external brokers
• Following up submitted applications to settlement
• In some cases, communicating with client’s accountant to confirm the information of Accountant Letter
• Requiring documents of information from solicitor directly if case is urgent or the request of brokers/clients
Duty 3 General Duties:
• Proposes improved work methods and suggests ideas to for improvement
• Follows company policies, procedures and work conduct rules
• Attending and conducting Lender’s training session
• Reviewing and auditing client’s information via employment check
• Giving suggestions to BDM with products’ selections
• Requesting updated documents of clients from brokers when needed
• Communicating with funders leading up to settlement
Required Skills
• Demonstrating proper judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word and Excel;
• Detailed knowledge of all relevant regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to learn new practices and procedures
• Hold accounting / finance tertiary qualification
• Must speak fluently Mandarin skills (verbally and written)

• Maintaining an acceptable record of attendance, punctuality and meeting deadlines
• Screening potential business deals by analysing case scenario
• Filtering cases and scenarios with brokers to ensure the quality of the loans
