Purpose of the Position
The RTO Receptionist/Student Support Admin is integral to the RTO to maintain that programs are met in accordance with Australian Qualification Training Framework and in line with ASQA SRT015.
The programs that you support are a broad range of administration support and customer service to our prospective and current students. You may be required to offer support for a student who has just arrived in the country or for someone
Job Overview
The RTO offers nationally accredited recognised courses across its various campus in Australia. The RTO Receptionist/Student Support Admin (RECP/SSO) is responsible to support and encourage students studying in the Australian education system.
Key Accountabilities
The RECP/SSO will fulfil this role and be able to:
Handle enquires from prospective and current students via face to face, email and phone
Maintain expert knowledge of the educational products within the relevant study unit, and give written and verbal advice to students in consultation with RTO administrator
Provide student support and assistance throughout the course
Manage student records
Advise on course timetables and general student hand book issues
Assist with classroom set up
Provide outstanding customer service and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Assisting when required with student support services
Assisting when required with compliance from RTO Administrator
Secretarial services for Trainer requests
Preparation of Letter of offer and COEs processing

The RECP/SSO criteria for this role includes:
Enthusiasm, adaptability and a ‘can-do’ attitude
A positive outlook
Commitment to working in a team
Proven experience in a customer service environment
Relevant experience in a similar role in the education
Exceptional administrative, organisational, communication and customer service skills
Strong PC skills - especially in Microsoft Office and Gmail
High attention to detail
Strong ability to multi-task
A flexible, helpful, friendly and outgoing personality
Fluent in written and spoken English
The ability to speak another language is desirable but not essential
Able to be comfortable in the face of adversity.
RECP/SSO Requirements:
Experience in CRICOS and related requirements for data provision under the relevant current Act
Educational experience in but not essential in Business studies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including:
The ability to communicate effectively and network with participants, business groups and other stakeholders
Ability to contribute to, and be part of a team environment which includes:
Demonstrated initiative, positive attitude and ethics
Evidence of contribution to a team-based culture
Demonstrated high level computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office programs
