About US Sydney Freezers is the #1 in Food Service, providing and distributing an extensive range of products to businesses throughout Greater Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, and Canberra. Our extensive product range provides customers with a one-call solution to all their food service needs. We specialize in small goods, fresh meat, fresh poultry, frozen seafood, dry and frozen goods, packaging, and chemicals. We also provide our own brand of oil, flour, and fries. Our goal is to provide our customers with exceptional service by providing top-quality products, a reliable and fast delivery service along with competitive pricing. We have a fleet of 60 and growing, delivering 6 days per week, we offer our customers late cut-off for next-day delivery and customer are able to order via our online app, or email or customers can contact our customer service team directly Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm. It takes a great team of people to service our customers and provide them with the variety of products they require. We are proud supporters of Australian farmers and products and have established strong partnerships with our key suppliers and manufacturers.

About the role

· Assist with day-to-day operations of the finance department, including filing, report generation, debtor follow-ups, etc.

· Processing payments and invoices accurately and within expected time periods

· Performing reconciliations of accounts

· Reconcile bank statements by comparing transactions to the general ledger.

· Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date.

· Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

· Supporting the senior/managing accountant and wider finance team

· Collaborating with teams to work on various accounting projects.

About You

· Qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or related field (required)

· Previous experience in a business administration or accounts position (required)

· Good mathematical skills to assist with accuracy in credit calculations

· Ability to establish and maintains strong partnerships with customers

· Excellent attention to detail

· Good organizational skills to effectively manage timeframes and deadlines

· Ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with various departments in the business

· Ability to analyze data, problem-solve and think critically

· Strong understanding of good customer service requirements

· Sound written and oral communication skills

· Sound Microsoft Office computer skills

· Highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills so has the ability to work effectively in a team or independently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to work well in a busy environment, multitask several duties at once while remaining calm under pressure.

· Possess a sound ability to make decisions as per company standard operating procedures and recognize when to escalate issues to management
